• REPLENISHES LANOLIN, PROTECTS PROTEIN FIBERS: Regular soaps and detergents strip the natural lanolin that keeps wool soft and resilient. Outback Gold puts it back, so protein fibers such as wool, cashmere, alpaca, mohair, angora, silk and sheepskin stay supple wash after wash. Since it is lab tested to be pH neutral, it never attacks the fiber the way alkaline detergents do. Contains natural lanolin, derived from sheep wool.
• NO SLS, NO ENZYMES, NO BLEACH: Plant-derived cleansers lift soil with no sulfates, phosphates, bleach or formaldehyde releasing ingredients. Lanolin, aloe vera, castor oil and coconut oil condition and soften the fiber. Mild and low-sudsing by design for HE and standard machines. The cleaner works without excessive foam. Safe for all septic systems.
• HOW MUCH TO USE? THE CAP IS THE MEASURE: HE machine 1 to 2 capfuls per load. Standard machine 4 capfuls. Hand wash 1/2 capful per gallon of water. Sheepskin rug 4 capfuls per skin, soak 15-30 minutes. Rinsing is optional (great for spot cleaning and blocking). One 16 oz bottle goes furthest by hand, about 96 washes, or 16 to 32 HE loads.
• ORIGINAL SCENT, LIGHT FLORAL: A soft, clean scent you notice in the bottle and on damp wool, fading as items dry. Some people may find it strong. If you prefer no fragrance at all, choose our Fragrance Free option that has the same powerful formula, but without tea tree oil or fragrance.
• MACHINE, HAND WASH, SOAK, SPOT CLEAN, BLOCK: Gentle cycle with no agitation in cool water, or hand wash and soak. Care for "dry clean only" sweaters, cashmere and silk at home. No rinse needed for spot cleaning or blocking a finished knit. Special formula, made in Idaho, USA.
